Welcome to:
The National Bike Route Directory
Bike Ride Input Page
You can be a part of history by becoming an owner of the National Bicycle Greenway, the network of interconnected bike friendly roads and bicycle pathways that will connect cyclists to Americas cities and the businesses and attractions within those cities. By inputting the best roads and paths a cyclist can use to reach all those population centers in the United States larger than 30,000 people, and then keeping that information current, those of you who contribute will be placing your signature on the rudimentary Greenway that will soon result,
The routing information you provide here will help us form a base map of bikeable roads and paths in the United States. While the commentary you provide will be footnoted for those cyclists who will be using them, it will also help us better determine which connections need to be brought up to the standard set by the CA DOT for bicycle safe through ways.
We will also use the information you provide to identify those links that are missing from the above network and determine how to best fit them into it either by creating new pathways where no roads or paths exist or, where they do, retrofitting them so they can safely accommodate both the recreation and transportation cyclist.
