First I use a piece of sandpaper and mount it on a wooden board which is placed on my easel. I start a rough outline of the image with water color pencils. After that I fill in the outlined image with water color crayons. I take a brush and spread water on the image.

After everything is dry, I use homemade or purchased pastels. None of my pictures have any kind of fixative coating. Fixative has the tendency to take away the brightness of the image. My pictures are usually framed behind glass with a double or triple mat.

Pencil

The objects are usually from photos. I use the finest 100% cotton, acid free paper there is out on the market. My pencils are from different selections and manufacturers.
