John Dohner<\/b>, an amazing man, who saw me hooked up to a catheter so I wouldn’t keep gushing blood internally after taking a knee in my kidney during a football pile-up, just donated $250 to the book that will underwrite our\u00a0NBG Spring Tour<\/a><\/b>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"InlineWow!\u00a0 What a surprise!\u00a0 In case any of you missed it, I put out a mailing on Saturday in which I changed the title of my book. Instead of “Are You Strong Enough to Love”, which may have been off putting for some people, I changed it to “How the Bicycle Reawakened Me” while keeping\u00a0 the same subtitle. To it, I added the word ‘love’ per \u00a0“How it and Love Can Revitalize You are Communities Nation and the World with the National Bicycle Greenway”<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides garnering John’s contribution, this new title will allow me to ask for bike shop support\u00a0 when we are doing our Virtual Tours of Santa Cruz, San Jose, Palo Alto,\u00a0San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, Davis and Reno next May per this schedule<\/a><\/b>. If all goes according to plan, in at least a few of these cities, I will be able to bring a ride from their city’s anchor hotel to their store for a booksigning and short talk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
