B<\/span>eginning this Friday<\/span><\/a> in Louisville, Kentucky, Linear Recumbents<\/a><\/strong>, the only\u00a0mass marketed\u00a0Long Wheel Base\u00a0recumbent bicycle designed as well as manufactured in America,\u00a0 will begin a national tour. At the Louisville Rowing Club, in Louisville Kentucky, they will kick their coast-to-coast run\u00a0off\u00a0 by giving test rides of their Linear Limo LWB as well as their SWB Roadster\u00a0 machines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a full slate of private showings, three weeks later they will arrive in California. There on February 22<\/a> at Kirks Bicycles<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 in Ramona, outside of San Diego (35 miles away) we will check in on them with a live podcast show.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There, they will preview both their models and be joined by a new entrant to the\u00a0 three wheel marketplace, the $1495 Avenue Trike<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Indeed it is fitting that this new\u00a0 tadpole three wheeler will\u00a0 get a screening with\u00a0 one of the oldest recumbent bicycle dealers on the planet, Kirk’s Bicycles . Nor can it be ignored that Kirk Newell goes all the way back to the recumbent three wheel\u00a0 beginning with his 47 mph trike, the Other Woman. His fully faired three-wheeler had its hey day in the early 1980’s at IHPVA races such as the ones held at the now closed\u00a0Pamona\u00a0raceway.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Linear’s tour continues five days later with the Avenue Trike in Texas on Feb 27\u00a0<\/a>at the Heart of Texas Recumbent Rally<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0that long time recumbent dealer, Easy Street Recumbents<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 has been producing in Austin, TX since 2010.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Linear will once again be joined by the Avenue Trike on its last tour stop, March 5<\/a> at Hampton’s\u00a0 Edge Trailside Bicycles <\/a>\u00a0in Floral City Florida.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are near\u00a0any of the areas noted above please do feel free to stop in and be part of the excitement. What needs to be underscored is the fact that the Linear long wheel base is a machine that folds and has been under redevelopment for the last decade. Toward that end, Martin Kreig, who rode it last October at Recumbent Cycle Con<\/a>. says,\u00a0 “it is the most comfortable recumbent\u00a0 I have ever ridden”.<\/span><\/p>\n
