One of \u00a0our speakers, Steve Stevens<\/a><\/strong>, who is staying at the beautiful\u00a0Hallmark Inn <\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>, in downtown Davis, a few hundred steps from the train station, \u00a0is coming out from his fully sustainable home in Golden, CO powered only by the sun. While his legendary crossing of America on\u00a0a HiWheel bike \u00a0was done so\u00a0with his own leg power, he’ll be coming to our festival in a \u00a0vehicle \u00a0fueled only by the rays generated by our brightest star!!

If you want to hear him before our Oct 22 <\/span><\/span>Davis NBG Fest<\/span><\/span><\/span>, he will be at St. Martin\u2019s Episcopal Church, located at 640 Hawthorn Lane at 11:30AM, \u00a0on Saturday October 15th. A totally free meal is offered to anyone who shows up!\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Plus you get to hear Charles play!<\/div>\n

Bob Beaudry, my childhood best friend and one of the stars of the\u00a0\u00a0autobiographical story of my rehabilitation from a long coma, clinical death and paralysis, may be at our Davis NBG Fest on Saturday Oct 22. Telling me I used to\u00a0throw the best parties, he’s trying to get someone to take over the\u00a0SF to Kauia run he does \u00a0on that day just so he can attend! Hmm, maybe I can get him to come the night before when I do a commemorative book signing for\u00a0“Awake Again, all the Way Back from Head Injury<\/a><\/strong>” at the Avid Reader<\/a><\/strong> here in Davis.<\/p>\n

When we were in college together, Bob flew me and our dates from the Hayward airport to the Nut Tree restaurant at the Vacaville, CA airport.
