The little rock house you see directly behind my bike is on the same property as the yellow house to its right. Seems this is how a lot of the Irish living in the country upgrade. And it is refreshing to see. Unlike Palo Alto, CA where a house is being town down to make way for new one every few blocks or so, here there is a lot of history to be seen and wondered at.<\/p>\n

Every time I pass places like these, I marvel at the hardiness of this country’s ancestors. How they were able to truly live off the land in this climate without gas or electric lights or heating astounds me. Much less the cars and the television sets most present day Irish cannot do without………<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
