As a function of the National Bicycle Greenway relaunch here in\u00a0Indianapolis, the Greenway Capital of\u00a0 America, we have had to completely overhaul our web site. For that we have been working with Blue Host, one\u00a0of the 20\u00a0largest\u00a0web providers in the world, hosting well over 2 million domains. We had needed a lot of horsepower to pare down\u00a0most of the 1,000+ pages that used to help us keep our vision out there to a now still active archive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since last March, with their help we have been able\u00a0 to file\u00a0 anything away that did not serve our purpose of\u00a0 making the route we long have foreseen from\u00a0San Francisco to\u00a0Washington, DC a reality. Now people can volunteer to\u00a0house long distance riders,\u00a0keep\u00a0 us informed\u00a0about the conditions of the roads and paths between cities, submit reports about their own riding experiences on these roads, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, our landing page needed to show the 20 NBG Anchor Cities our 12 years of\u00a0Mayors’ Rides and NBG Scouting missions have determined will be necessary to serve as magnets to one another. Since\u00a0because of its Downtown Greenway completed in 2013, downtown Indianapolis has become the bike friendliest downtown in America, we needed also\u00a0 to reflect how our mission is changing with the times. Since\u00a0 the\u00a0Indianapolis\u00a0Cultural Trail, has brought about a business central that is struggling to keep up with the demand for new businesses and\u00a0 housing and caused an unprecedented explosion of wonder and excitement for cycling, it has become the template for how we plan to go forward.\u00a0 And we feel the design teams at Blue Host have helped us communicate our change in direction.<\/span><\/p>\n
