Here in the Greenway Capital of America is a mile marker I pass every day on the trail behind the Zoo just before I cross the White River. It is one of the original mile markers on the White River Full Circle Trail developed by Mr Greenway himself, <\/span>Ray R Irvin<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. One part of the Greenway master plan he developed for the city of Indianapolis, each segment of the trail has its own name and logo connecting to something in it history. On this one, the symbol is the Indian representation for river while the word Wapahana is the Indian name for river.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ray\u2019s friend, and one of the first people I came to know when I moved here, <\/span>Dick Lutin<\/span><\/span> of <\/span>ACS Signs<\/span><\/a><\/strong>, made these beautiful markers!
