Each of our 19 other NBG Anchor Cities<\/span><\/a>, will be made to stand out by its very own Downtown Greenway. A traffic disentwined bikeway across these urban centers, each city\u2019s Downtown Greenway will have access points to the eastward and westward connections to our bike route across America. As they establish the unique character found in each of them, they will be patterned after the world class, extremely popular, 10 mile long Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick<\/span><\/a>.<\/div>\n

In what can be thought of as bicycle business loops, they will connect to all the places to eat, sleep, shop and play in these population centers. There will also be a healthy sampling of gardens, public art and attractive landscaping. Points of interest such as cathedrals, museums, sporting venues and notable monuments, will all crop up along the way.<\/div>\n

In order to form each city\u2019s Downtown Greenway, they will begin as Virtual Tours. Our team will go out and select the most popular places cyclists go to have their needs taken care of, along with the points of interest worthy of a visit that are no more than half a mile apart from each other. At which point, a route will be devised that connects to all of them.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As virtual tours, they will begin as suggested ways to travel through the city in question. They will be mapped out to connect to the stops we feel are worthy. This will establish a route and cause improvements and enhancements to it to be suggested. We foresee our virtual tours running in this way for a period of 2 to 3 years.<\/div>\n

Once we settle on a route, we will then begin the process of contracting with a landscape designer. This entity will \u2026\u2026 (to be rewritten and posted here after I consult with Mr. Greenway, Ray R Irvin<\/span><\/a>, a former landscape designer, as well as Jim Lingenfelter<\/span><\/a> and Kevin Osburn<\/span><\/a>, both of whom designed parts of the Cultural Trail here)<\/div>\n
