Powerhouse, Sacramento bike coordinator Ed Cox<\/strong>, a man so accomplished as a bike activist that we honored him with a podcast <link<\/a><\/strong>> recently got a new HiWheel bike! Yahoo for Ed. On two of his eight rides down the American River with us he has suffered the embarrassment of being on a penny farthing that had broken down.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last year’s melt down captured on the one minute video HERE<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>broke the camel\u2019s back. He and his new wife, Leigh Cox,\u00a0 determined enough was enough and they upgraded to a Rideable Bicycle Replica (RBR) Excalibur penny farthing. A beautiful machine, I used to love mine before the Eagle came along.<\/span><\/p>\n
