On Sunday May 24,\u00a0Larkspur Landing<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0 a \u00a0luxury hotel in Folsom, CA, ranked #1 for \u00a0area lodging by Trip Adviser travelers, is going to send us down the American River Parkway with wholesome and delicious breakfast foods and drink supplied by nearby Whole Foods Market Folsom<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0After we meet there at 9 AM, soon the smooth asphalt of the car-free American River Parkway trail (multi-media podcast of the Riverway<\/a>) will carry us away as we look out on a peaceful river set against the browning tall grasslands in which oak, manzanita and other scrub trees have taken residence.<\/div>\n

A gentle downhill run, we will wonder at all the ways our pedaling efforts have been made easy when we encounter potential obstacles such as the occasional road, bridge or dam, even it’s fishery. After a short while of a ride that just feels too good to be real, we’ll take a refreshment break at Whole Foods, Sacramento<\/a><\/strong>. Located one safe bicycle mile from the river, our stop will have been worth it.<\/div>\n

And indeed we will be fully recharged with energy food and drink, even air conditioned surroundings before we head into the final stretch to Old Town Sacramento<\/a> and Embassy Suites on the River<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0where yet another reception, TBA. \u00a0awaits us!<\/div>\n
