\u00a0O<\/span>ur 2015 ride will leave from the Golden Gate city, instead of cycle to it – see HERE<\/strong><\/a> for an explanation. And below\u00a0for why we feel Palo Alto is the true cornerstone for the\u00a0National Bicycle Greenway.<\/p>\n

With the\u00a0San Francisco hills behind us in the morning, the ride will be a lot easier than in years past. Ten miles before the end, Whole Foods Redwood City<\/strong> <\/a>will recharge\u00a0us \u00a0with energy\u00a0\u00a0food and drink before we end at Palo Alto Bicycles<\/strong><\/a> where a small reception is TBA.<\/p>\n

We’ll take the 8<\/strong>:31 train from the CalTrain station at University and Alma<\/strong> and start riding from San Francisco an hour later. Try to be at the station at 8AM. You cannot be late!! You can also meet us at the 4th & King SF Caltrain at 9:38<\/strong> and ride with us from there!<\/p>\n

ROUTE<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Bike Route, mostly flat once you leave SF, that runs fairly close to the railroad alignment that dates back to the time of Abraham Lincoln’s presidency. It lets you see the little towns of South San Francisco, San Bruno, Milbrae, Burlingame, San Mateo, Belmont, San Carlos, Redwood City and Menlo Park<\/strong> on lightly trafficked roads we have been using since 2003 to make this connection.<\/span><\/p>\n
